A Time to Dance Dress Code
Purchase Locations : Students need to be taken to the dance store to be fitted for dance shoes

Creative Movement:
Leotard – Pink leotard or pink dance dress
Skirt – pink skirt (optional) (NO TUTUS)
Tights – Pink Footless Tights
Shoes – No Shoes
Hair – off face in ponytail or bun...short hair should be pinned back off face
Pre-Ballet
Leotard – Pink leotard or pink dance dress
Skirt – Pink skirt (optional) (NO TUTUS)
Tights – Footed pink dance tights
Shoes – Pink leather (NO WAL-MART OR PAYLESS SHOES)
Hair – Off face in ponytail or bun....short hair should be pinned back off face
Ballet/Tap:
Leotard – Capezio #142C black tank leotard (nylon) or Bloch # CL5405 black tank leotard (cotton) Skirt – black dance skirt (optional for Beg B/T and B/T A)
Short –Black dance short (optional) BALLET/TAP B ONLY
Tights – pink dance tights (Footed only for beginning)
Shoes – Ballet: pink leather
Tap: black patent, we prefer Bloch “Annie” (NO WAL-MART OR PAYLESS SHOES)
Hair – off face in ponytail or bun...short hair should be pinned back off face
Ballet (Ballet C – Advanced Ballet) Leotard – black camisole or tank leotard
Advanced Ballet Only 2nd choice: Any solid color leotard (no white or pastels) Under/Over (nude leotard) – A Time to Dance will order with costumes if needed Sports Bra – Any black sports bra
Skirt – none
Short – black dance shorts (No P.E Athletic shorts)
Tights – pink convertible tights
Shoes – pink split sole
Pointe Shoes – by teacher recommendation only (ask us to help fit you) Hair – ballet bun (no ponytails)
*Cecchetti Exams require a modest Black leotard
*You may wear any modest black leotard for modern, jazz, tap, and hip hop. However, for recital, some classes may need a black camisole or a Nude leotard to wear under their costume.
Modern:
Leotard – Black camisole (for modesty please wear a sports bra and/or fitted tank shirt if needed) Shirt –camisole or tank (optional--some teachers prefer pants and leotard only
Tights: Optional (black or pink)
Pants: black dance pants (No P:E athletic shorts unless wearing leggings under)

Jazz I thru Advanced Jazz
Leotard – black camisole (For modesty please wear a sports bra if needed)
Shirt –camisole or tank (optional--some teachers prefer pants and leotard only)
Tights or Leggings – optional, preferably black
Jazz Pants – black dance pant (No P.E Athletic shorts unless wearing leggings underneath) Shoes – black split sole (no jazz sneakers)

Tap

Shirt – Any loose shirt (must wear leotard under shirt)
Pants – any loose pants (example: sweatpants, cargo pants) (no jeans or shorts) Shoes – tennis shoes (clean and may not be worn outside)
